Everybody and their uncle has visited those big-brand furniture shops at least once for uni accommodation furniture and meatballs. We all know it for its just-about-good-enough flat-pack materials and lower prices.

But did you know there are plenty of local carpenters and woodworkers near you? And that they could produce something of much higher quality tailored to your needs and wants?

A local woodworker is part of your community. Whether they live in the same village, town, city, county or even country, they have a 'stake' in the same economy as you. This means the two of you share a vested interest in something, providing the basis for a good working relationship.
